Privacy Notice
Solar World Canada — SolarWorldCanada.ca
This notice explains how Solar World Canada handles personal information when you browse this Wix website, submit a form or enquiry, request a quotation, make an eligible purchase using Square, or contact us about an order.
Information You Provide
We collect the information you provide for the service you request. This can include your name, company name, email address, phone number, billing or delivery address, products and quantities, project or compatibility details, delivery requirements, order or invoice references, and the contents of messages or forms.
Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry or order. Do not send payment-card numbers, card security codes, account passwords or government identification through the contact form, email or text message.
Payment and Order Information
Eligible online purchases use Wix Stores with Square as the connected payment provider. Payment details entered in the payment flow are handled by Square and the other providers involved in completing the transaction. We receive the order and transaction information needed to confirm payment, fulfil the order, provide support, issue an approved refund and address a dispute.
Square's processing may include payment, billing, transaction, device and security information. Its own notices explain its practices and available choices:

Website Technology
Wix hosts this website and provides its store, contact-form and related website functions. Wix and the technology used to deliver these functions may process information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages or functions used, time of access, and security or error logs.
Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as sessions, security, site operation and the shopping experience. Your browser lets you manage or block cookies, although disabling necessary cookies can affect website functions. If a cookie-choice control is displayed, you can also use it to manage the choices it offers.
Wix explains its platform practices and cookies here:

Why We Use Information
We use information reasonably needed to respond to enquiries; prepare quotations; check stock, product requirements and order details; process payments; arrange delivery or appointment pickup; provide order updates and customer support; manage returns and warranty enquiries; protect the website and transactions from fraud or misuse; maintain business and accounting records; and meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
An order or enquiry is not, by itself, consent to unrelated marketing. Any marketing communications must be permitted by applicable law and any consent required for them. You can ask us to stop marketing messages without stopping essential communications about an existing order.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Information needed to provide these services may be handled by Wix, Square, payment and financial partners, and providers assisting with business communications. Relevant order, product, delivery or contact information may also be shared with the supplier, warehouse or carrier involved in arranging or fulfilling your request.
We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, including to address suspected fraud, respond to a lawful request, establish or defend a legal claim, or resolve a payment dispute. We do not use this notice as permission for undisclosed, unrelated uses of your information.
Processing Outside Canada
Wix, Square and their service providers may store or process information outside Alberta or Canada, including in the United States and other countries in which they operate. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to its laws and lawful access by authorities. Contact us if you want information about the service providers involved in your request.
Retention and Protection
We retain information for the purposes described in this notice and for applicable accounting, tax, legal, warranty, dispute-resolution or other recordkeeping requirements. The period depends on the type of record and the reason it is held; withdrawing consent does not necessarily require deletion of a record that must lawfully be retained.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and the services involved. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your Choices and Requests
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or a correction, ask about our practices or service providers, or raise a privacy concern using the contact details below. You may also withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We will explain where this affects our ability to respond to a request, process an order or provide a service.
We may need to verify your identity before providing records or making changes. Access, correction and deletion requests are handled subject to applicable law, including any lawful exceptions and retention obligations. A deletion request does not automatically delete information held independently by a payment provider or another third party; we can help identify the relevant provider.
If your concern is not resolved with us, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as applicable.
Other Websites and Updates
A link to a manufacturer, payment provider or another website takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Review that service's notice before providing information.
We may update this notice when our services or practices change and will provide any additional notice or consent request required by law.
